SWISH is a support group based in Scoil Mhuire Naofa, (but not confined to Scoil Mhuire Naofa parents), that meets regularly. It’s purpose is to create a support network of teachers and parents to help navigate the challenges faced when the typical physical, emotional and educational developmental milestones are not being met.
SWISH is about the togetherness of like-minded people who may either be currently facing the childhood milestone challenges or have come through these challenges and would like to share their experience and knowledge.
SWISH is a forum for Sharing Wisdom, Information, Strength and Hope. Topics of discussion include: how to cope with our children’s anxiety, frustration, friendships, afterschool activities, holidays, extra supports, grants and lots more! It is a solution-focused, positive and proactive group, where lasting friendships are made and worries are shared and reduced.
At SWISH we respect the journey, and the people along the journey that we encountered, and use the experience as a learning tool for navigating our continued journey into the future.
