We love reading! So this week we are celebrating World Book Day (Thursday 4th March) with lots and lots of fun reading activities. Â We have created a padlet which is divided into five sections, and is being updated every day with new stories and videos.

We have an online Book Fair, a new edition of our school magazine “The Reading Times”, competition time, and a message from leading Irish author Shane Hegarty best known for the “Darkmouth” series of books, and also the “Boot” series.
As a school, we are reading “The Lion Inside” in every class, and we have also had our 3rd to 6th classes who are still at home, doing story time with our younger classes via Zoom.
And of course, on Thursday it will be great fun to see pupils and teachers dressed up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day!
